Remnant Revival Church Nashville ("RRC," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit rrcnashville.org, fill out our forms, give online, or otherwise interact with us, how we use that information, and the choices you have over it.
Section 01Scope & Promise
This policy covers personal information we collect through our website, online forms, online giving platform, email and SMS communications, and in-person interactions where you provide information to us (for example, a connect card at a Friday night service).
Our promise is simple: we collect only what we need to serve and stay connected with you. We don't sell your personal information. Ever. Not for fundraising lists, not for advertising, not for anything.
Section 02What We Collect
We collect two broad categories of information:
Information you give us
Name & contact
Your first and last name, email address, phone number, and mailing address when you fill out a form.
Donation info
Donation amount, frequency, and payment method. Card numbers are handled by Subsplash, not us.
Prayer & messages
Anything you share in a contact form, prayer request, testimony, or text message.
Application data
Information you submit when applying for membership, including your testimony and faith background.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting provider and analytics tools automatically log certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring website, and approximate location based on IP. This is standard for any website and helps us improve performance and understand traffic patterns.
Section 03How We Use It
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to messages, prayer requests, and contact form submissions.
- Process donations and send giving receipts and annual statements.
- Communicate with members about events, sermons, and church updates.
- Welcome new visitors and follow up on their first visit.
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website and digital ministry.
- Comply with legal obligations, including IRS reporting for charitable contributions.
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of RRC, our community, and the public.
Section 04Who We Share It With
We share personal information only in limited circumstances:
- Service providers. Companies we hire to operate our site, process payments, send email, host data, and run analytics (listed in the next section).
- Pastoral team and ministry leaders. Information you share for prayer or ministry care may be shared with relevant pastors or ministry leaders so we can serve you well.
- Legal compliance. When required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- With your consent. For anything else, we will ask first.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Not for marketing, not for fundraising, not for any reason. Your data stays inside our ministry.
Section 05Third-Party Processors
We rely on these vendors to operate the site and ministry. Each handles your data under their own privacy policy, which we have reviewed. We link to each policy below.
For details on each vendor's data practices, see their respective privacy policies: Subsplash, GoHighLevel, Google, YouTube, Rumble.
Section 06Cookies & Tracking
Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand how people use it. Cookies are small text files stored in your browser.
The cookies we use fall into three buckets:
- Essential. Required for the site to function (for example, remembering that you closed a banner). These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics. Help us understand traffic and improve content. Set by Google Analytics. These are anonymized and aggregated.
- Embedded content. When you play a sermon video or load our giving form, the third-party service (YouTube, Subsplash) may set its own cookies. We don't control these.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may not work as expected if you do.
Section 07Email & SMS Communications
If you give us your email or phone number, we may use them to send you:
- Replies to your messages and form submissions.
- Giving receipts and annual contribution statements.
- Membership updates and Zoom call reminders.
- Church announcements, event invites, and sermon notes (only if you've opted in).
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. You can opt out of SMS by texting STOP to any message we send. Transactional messages (such as giving receipts) will continue as required by law and basic operations.
Section 08Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption across the site, secure third-party processors for payment data, and access controls limiting who on the team can see what.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Section 09Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it to serve you and comply with our legal obligations. Specifically:
- Giving records. Retained for at least seven (7) years as required by IRS regulations for tax-deductible donations.
- Contact form submissions. Retained for up to three (3) years for ministry follow-up.
- Membership records. Retained as long as you are an active member, plus up to seven (7) years after.
- Analytics data. Anonymized after 14 months per Google Analytics default settings.
When data is no longer needed, we either delete it or anonymize it.
Section 10Your Rights & Choices
You have the right to:
- Access. Ask us what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct. Ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
- Delete. Ask us to delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements like giving records).
- Opt out. Stop receiving marketing emails or SMS messages.
- Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, you can take it back at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.
Section 11Children's Privacy
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly. Parents and guardians may submit information on behalf of children for participation in our youth and kids ministries; that information is governed by this policy.
Section 12California Residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you additional rights, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the "sale" of personal information.
As stated above, we do not sell personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, email us at [email protected] with the subject line "California Privacy Request."
Section 13International Users
Our site is operated from the United States. If you are visiting from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and stored in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the site, you consent to this transfer.
Section 14Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. There is currently no industry-standard way to interpret DNT signals, so we do not respond to them. We treat all visitors consistently under this policy.
Section 15Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will post a notice on the site or email registered members. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
